Thank you for your interest in our Capital Campaign

We Exceeded our Goal!

As of February 27th,  2023 the Campaign has reached its goal.  Thanks to all of our generous donors for making this happen.

A History

Our beautiful, historic church was first officially occupied in 1932 after a tragic fire two years prior in 1930. As with any aging structure, repairs and modifications must be frequently and strategically assessed. Recent modifications to the building include the installation of an elevator, air conditioning the sanctuary, sanctuary lighting upgrades, kitchen remodeling, and repairs to our beloved stained-glass windows.

Today, we face new repairs and challenges that need to be addressed. While the pandemic has caused hardships for so many, the church is grateful to provide virtual streaming services to those who cannot attend worship, meetings, and Bible studies in-person. This has brought to light the need for replacements and updates to the audio/visual equipment. Last spring, the church’s 40-year-old boiler stopped functioning and will need to be replaced as well as the necessities that go along with the replacement of a boiler.

The Campaign

The Baldwin First Capital Campaign has been created to address these current needs. Four phases encompass the campaign for the next five years.

Phase 1: Critical HVAC/Boiler Repairs, estimated total = $52,000

Phase 2: Critical Audio/Visual Updates, estimated total = $16,000 $19,000 (updated)

Phases 3 and 4 include preventative updates to new HVAC systems, replacement of the air conditioning units in Fellowship Hall, and additional technology updates.

Phase 3: Preventative HVAC Updates, estimated total = $22,000

Phase 4: Optional Technology Updates, estimated total = $39,000

Due to the positive success of the campaign to date, our ability to reach Phase 3 & 4 within the next five years has now been included in our target goal.

An Impact

Our church has impacted the lives of many community members and multi-generational families near and far. From worship, Sunday School, choir, Institute, Youth Group, UMW, and UMM, to baptisms, confirmations, memorial services, and marriages, we are certain the church has lasting memories for you. We hope that you will consider donating to our campaign. Should you have any questions we can help answer, please contact baldwinfirstcapitalcampaign@gmail.com.
