[The Methodist People Decide to Complete Their Church Property]

Last week the Board of Trustees of the M. E. church, by unanimous vote recommended the purchase of the S. Lake residence on West Grove street, for the parsonage. On. Thursday night at the meeting of the Quarterly conference this recommendation was passed without a dissenting voice. The Lake residence is an eleven roomed house only about a year old and fully modern in every respect. Mr. Lake sells the property for $4,000 thus making a gift for this enterprise, for the house could not be built for that money.

At this meeting it was also decided to raise funds for the purchase of a pipe organ. The church people have realized ever since the building was erected that the organ should be added soon, in order to give the best service and enjoyment to the membership. With the slight deficit in paying off the church building fund, it makes a total amount to be raised of $6,000. This matter will be taken up next Sunday morning and of course the church will be filled and none of the members will absent themselves on this account. In fact people who are not members ought to come out and show that they want to make Baldwin the best place to live in, in everything that pertains to church life.

It is to have payments cover a period of two years and with this point in view there is no reason why every member should not give something.
