CEMENT WALKS FOR THE CHURCH

The Baldwin Ledger, 17 June 1904

Through the benevolent hands of Mr. Geo. Nicholson Sr., enough cement has been given to the cause of the walk for the new church so that cement walks will be made, winding about the church and an eight foot approach will be added to the main entrance and new steps put in their stead. This will make the church yard more attractive and with a nice bed of blue grass should present a very up-to-gate appearance. If such improvements are added from time to time it will soon be hard to find a town with better church equipment.

The ladies of the aid society took in $22 at their ice cream supper Wednesday evening. This will make their payment on the $1,000 church subscription about $450.
