The Baldwin Ledger, 5 Feb. 1904

Preparations for the church dedication are being rapidly pushed at this time. Carpenters are at work night and day. Carpets and furnishings are received daily and all the different society organizations are gathering in new members with the Y.W.F.M.S. [Young Women’s Foreign Missionary Society] in the lead. If there is anything in work the new church will be a fine one and ready for dedication when the great day comes. A find new upright piano has been purchased and will be here for the dedication. This will be used by the church proper until a pipe organ is secured, then it will be turned over to the Sunday School. Programs with a more detailed description will be ready for distribution at the Sunday services.

There will be preaching at the Presbyterian church next Sabbath at 11 o’clock. A full attendance of those interested in the future of the Presbyterian church is desired as a Congregational meeting will be held at the close of the service to consider the coming of Rev. Elcock, of Emporia. There will be no services on the 14th inst. of any kind, at the Presbyterian church, on account of the dedicatory services at the Methodist church.
